For your special attention!
As is known, from October 1, 1965, the Giant Spitz and the Wolfsspitz were separated when the CACIB was awarded, with the condition that from now on there is a ban on crossbreeding between these species.
In practice, however, there are still cases where, for reasons of inheritance, two Wolfsspitz parents produce other colored Giant Spitz puppies, and in the opposite case, a Giant Spitz parents also produces Wolfsspitzes. Until now, these puppies, regardless of which parents they came from, were registered in such a way that, for example, in one litter Wolfspitzes and Giant Spitzes lay. With this handling, pure breeding is not guaranteed, because anyone who continues to breed with these animals will never achieve pure Giant Spitz or Wolfspitz breeding.
Therefore, I ask you to make sure that you only enter puppies with the exact breed or species name. The color must be described precisely so that it can be used, for example: Wolfspitz, black. This is an incorrect color in terms of our breed characteristics. These animals are definitely entitled to registration because the parents are purebreds with papers. In these cases, however, the breeding inspectors must make a handwritten note: “Not suitable for breeding.” This is the only way we can expect purebred Giant Spitzes and Wolfsspitzes in the future.
