Postscript to the judge's report above:

"Rex from Christelhof" listed under catalog number 466 received an excellent 1 from me, but no CACIB. The reason is that this dog, which for me was by far the best animal in the exhibition, has bright eyes. According to our statutes, which have been deposited with the FCI for a long time and which also contain the standard, the bright eye is a mistake. I am always responsible for giving this dog the highest rating on a national basis, despite the mistake. But I cannot be responsible for it on an international basis (CACIB). It could happen that a foreign judge uses the standard stored at the FCI when judging and has to see that a bright eye is a mistake and promptly classifies the dog one class lower.

We would then have to be told in the German Spitz's home country that we don't know our standard. For me personally, he is currently the best Wolfsspitz. Unfortunately, that's just how the conditions are.

Dogs, working class

466: Rex vom Christelhof, breeder Günter Dangeleit, Dortmund, owner Heinz Mausolf, Kiel.

A royal appearance of a dog. The Wolfspitz as I imagine it. Compact, impeccable hair color. In all parts (anatomically and figuratively) faultless. Despite his size and compactness, very harmonious. Excellent 1. (For my assessment, see my postscript at the end of the judge's report).
